LUCANIA. Herakleia. Circa 276-250 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 6.44 g, 2 h). HPAKΛEIΩN Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, monogram. Rev. Herakles standing facing, head left, holding leonte in right hand and club and lion skin in left; to lower left, altar, to right, thunderbolt. HN Italy 1433. SNG ANS 91 (same dies). Van Keuren 136. Beautifully toned. Flan flaw on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
